The FJ Porter-Manton Marble Letters

Hennessy references the Manton Marble Papers in the Library of Congress.

And it seems they're not digitized.
 
Indeed, and I'm wondering if they're transcribed anywhere. There are some selective quotes from them by Sears et al., but I'd like to read them in completeness before passing judgement.
 
The finding aid for the collection notes that it includes about 14,000 items. I would be surprised if it had been digitized - that's a lot of stuff to scan. Transcription is even more time consuming. You may have to sit down with the boxes to see them in their entirety.
