The First Kentucky Calvary (Union)

In case anyone had relatives in this regiment, or is just interested, the link to this free online book is below. Until I read this I didn't realize just how much Kentucky could have gone either way, Union or Confederate, in the beginning months of the war. All the battles, imprisonment in Andersonville, full rosters, etc. are covered. These men were not the most polished of soldiers, but I think they made a real difference in the way history played out. Their Col. Frank Wolford is the same man that later got into quite a bit of trouble criticizing Lincoln and the Emancipation Proclamation.
