I am still obtaining records on my Great, Great Grandfather. Family history passed down was he fought at Fort Donelson, captured then pardoned at Vicksburg. But in my deep dive, through pension records and the NA, he not only fought in the above, but also was working at a camp Oct-Dec 1863 building baracks in Dalton GA in an 'extra pay' status earning $2.50 every 10 days. He fought in the battles of Fort Donelson, Missionary Ridge, Franklin, Atlanta, Peach Tree Creek, New Hope. He was captured again at Nashville Dec 15, 1864. Ultimately pardoned at Point Lookout MD June 29, 1865
