"Godey's Lady's Book" was published from 1830 to 1898. During those years the magazine posted many menus. This Thanksgiving Menu is from the Civil War years.
They recommend many dishes for this occasion. Most of the dishes are in book, "Civil War Recipes Receipts from the Pages of Godey's Lady's Book" edited by Lily May Spaulding and John Spaulding.
