Terrible Innocence General Sherman at War, Mark Coburn, Hippocrene Books, 1993.

I believe Mark Coburn has done an honest appraisal of the man, seperating him from the myths and propoganda. It sits on my book shelf beside Glatthaar. I'm not certain how much new ground is covered by this work, but I don't believe I've seen such an in depth look at Hoods only succesful campaign which General Cox called the "Goose Chase."

I see this as an enjoyable and informative read; while not as in depth as I might have liked it was a splendid investment from my local Half Price Books.
