Several weeks back when I visited Manassas battlefield one of the volunteers at the Stone House commented that it was only ever used as a Union aid station. I've not read enough to positively state such a thing, and even recall an account of one Dr. Settle from Fauquier County that had done operations in the house and he was of the Confederate persuasion. Though, upon second thought, it could have been a different building. It was some time ago now that I read the account I'm thinking of.
That confused 'factoid' aside, it seems strange to me that with the Confederacy having won both battles that the Stone House would not have been used as an aid station in some capacity.
Thoughts?
