posted recently asking if someone would check to see if their Starr was listed in the SRS database. I did not know the Starr is in the database so if anyone with access would be so kind to check for mine I would greatly appreciate it. Serial number is 18994. As always, including some photos.

Thanks

Guessing July=August 1864 DOB based on serial number. Are there any readable letters on left side of barrel in front of breech or on top of butt plate? Looks like it spent some time in a saddle scabbard.

H.G.S. has two possibilities of Starr carbines. H.G. Smith and Henry G. Shaw. Based on your serial number yours would be Henry G. Shaw. B would be Samuel T. Bugbee. No listing that works for the S at Starr
