So pretty certain this is late 1800’s indian wars no chance of civil war?
One odd fact no one has mentioned yet is that these were supposedly retooled from the thousands of bayonets left from the war. As I understand it, the sockets were removed from the blades, resized or replaced, and reattached on the blades. The way to tell whether it's for a Civil War rifle or a trapdoor is by the diameter of the socket - trapdoor bayonets are noticeably smaller.
