The Food Forum is going to recognize anyone who prepares an authentic or period food and shares with the forum.

    The rules are:

Food must be from authentic or period recipe.
Must have written narrative on how made.
Must have photo of finished product.

Thought this be a fun thing and get more interest in the foods of the period.

Our first winner is NH Civil War Gal for Mock Cherry Pie. See thread on the award.

    Thanks to all who participate.

I will consider recreated recipes too. They must be from authentic or period recipes that have been recreated for today's cook. An example is the Mother Ann Cake recipe I posted today, March 1.
