First thanks for saying there is a Central Jersey. That is where I am from , Somerset County. Second the 12th has members in Central Jersey also , soooooooooooo . Third , Civil war aside , Central Jersey belongs to those of us that call it PORK ROLL .If south jersey belongs to the 12th NJVI, just remember that Central Jersey belongs to the 19th Virginia. Hope to see yall on the battlefield.
Taylor Ham.What else do people call it besides pork roll?!
That's a dirty trick I didn't know till after I moved out of Jersey many moons ago. A diner down here in Florida had it hiding on it's menu for years till I finally realized they actually had pork roll. I thought it didn't exist outside the confines of the Peoples Republic of New Jersey.Taylor Ham.
Very few people are allowed to enjoy the taste of a great New Jersey breakfast. My sister and her family moved to Wisconsin years ago and whenever they came back to New Jersey they would get some and bring it back home. Their cheese head friends enjoyed it so much my sister always had to bring back a log of it when returning to Wisconsin. That's a dirty trick I didn't know till after I moved out of Jersey many moons ago. Pork Roll, a good cheese steak, and a good sub can't be had outside of the confines of Jersey. Although here in south Florida (South New Jersey) there is some Taylor Ham available.Very few people are allowed to enjoy the taste of a great New Jersey breakfast. The Peoples Republic of New Jersey is for the most part spot on !
P.S. Is there anything more Jersey then Pork Roll and a diner ? Ok tomatoes .
Being raised in PA, it took me an embarrassingly long time to realize you could get hoagies when I'd visit my family in North Jersey....Pork Roll, a good cheese steak, and a good sub can't be had outside of the confines of Jersey.
