Sounds of the Battlefield

Where can I find an accurate recording of the sounds of muskets and cannons firing?

If you really want the full effect come to Winchester for the Spring National meet of the n-ssa. About a thousand of us will be there lined up shoulder to shoulder blasting away with muskets as fast as we can. It's truly a thing to see.

If you want to hear what it really sounded like you have to go to an NSSA or ACWSA event, not a re-enactment. They're using blanks at a re-enactment whereas at an NSSA or ACWSA event there are real bullets in front of the powder smoke and if you listen you an hear the screams of innocent paper and tiles.

Do you just want a recording? There are a ton of You Tube videos with excellent sound. I can make the classroom shake pretty well when we study artillery

I want to be there when it happens Nate haha - I listen to 88m German artillery and Bofors guns most of the time.
