I was looking at some older Company of Military Historians Journals. This article gives us some views of what Confederate sailors wore. Note the blue round jackets, blue pea jackets, blue over shirts (jumpers), and blue caps. It appears white duck trousers were worn as well.

Interestingly the first list wants red or gray drawers while the next one wants blue drawers.

So based in this a Confederate sailor would wear a blue jumper, blue pea coat, or blue roundabout with blue trousers and a blue cap. If a they had a photo taken, would it not look like a photo of a US sailor? Becaue theey wore almost the same uniforms it would seem very easy to miss identify a Confederate sailor as a Union sailor.
