Are there scenes in any Civil War films that you purposefully skip over when watching them? For example, when I watch Gettysburg, I make a point of fast forwarding through Longstreet's "We should have freed the slaves, than fired on Fort Sumter" line.

I don't skip over any part of a civil war film, even if I don't like parts of it. I want to see it all to be certain I didn't miss any of it. I'll fast forward other movies I watch to get to the parts I like, just not civil war.

Good question. I do fast-forward thru parts of some movies I watch over and over but I guess I dont have that many Civil War movies I replay.
The only thing close to one would be “The Good, The Bad & The Ugly”.
I got nothing.

There's a lot of scenes in "Gods and Generals" I would fast forward thru if I ever watched it again. Probably won't happen unless I need something to put me to sleep.....
