CRESSONA, SCHUYLKILL COUNTY - (WBRE/ WYOU)- Back in March, we told you about an area organization and a funeral home teaming up to restore two gravestones in Schuylkill County. The project is for two brothers who lost their lives in the Civil War and it is now complete! The organization raised more than $700 to give soldiers John Dentzer and his brother, George Dentzer new gravestones. "It actually made me pretty happy because they're the ones that sacrifice their life just to give us our freedom," Alexa Moyer, of Schuylkill Frontier Girls said. George died in 1862 at the Battle of Antietam and John died in 1864 in Petersburg. They were buried in their hometown of Cressona.

America is as strong as her children! What a special group of young ladies to honor the veterans from the Civil War.
