After you have enjoyed the parade, ceremonies, and dinner, join us at the National Civil War Ball, the official ball of Remembrance Day sponsored by the Sons of Union Veterans, starting at 9PM, Saturday, November 20, 2010, at the Eisenhower Convention Center.

Unlike other events, the proceeds from this ball are donated to the Gettysburg National Military Park to use for preservation or repair of any items the park deems in need. In the last ten years, over $56,000 has been raised.

Attend the premier Civil War ball held each year on Remembrance Day. Members of Civil War hereditary groups, both Union and Confederate, and all military and civilian reenactors as well as all supporters of Civil War preservation are welcome to join in the festivities. Period dress is encouraged but not required, however, proper attire is requested.

Authentic Civil War music will be provided by the Philadelphia Brigade Band (28th Pa.) and dancing will be led by the Victorian Dance Ensemble, the performing troupe of the Civil War Dance Foundation. No dance experience is required. All dances will be demonstrated and friendly instructors will be on the floor to assist dancers.

There is a Ladies’ Cake Walk, Door Prizes, Snacks, and a Cash Bar.

A photographer will be on site to take your portrait to remember this special day.

Tickets are $20 per person if purchased in advance, $25 at the door.

To purchase tickets, make check out to “National Civil War Ball” and mail to:
