Richmond and Petersburg

Get up to Drewerys Bluff for a fantastic view of Richmond and the James River and 2 river battles fought there. Yes, you must do Malvern Hill. Count on an hour. I suggest you walk the field from the ANV side to the AOP cannons. Check out the Crater at Petersburg. Five Forks is not more than a few markers but given it's importance and location sets the theme for the fall of Petersburg. You'll want to go the Crater at Petersburg. If you have time stop to see where Jeb Stewart was killed...north end of Richmond.

Pamplin Park is the one ill definitely go to next time in the area. It looks a fantastic day out. As for Richmond I enjoyed the White house of the Confederacy & the adjoined museum. Afaik the museum has moved to a new site ?
