After some hard rains in our area, I made a return to the Central Female Institute site in Mississippi. Work is progressing rapidly but there were a few heaped piles of dirt with a few relics from the old female college presenting themselves today.
I found this nice old ink well. Typical for a college to have lots of these laying around. This one escaped unscathed by the bulldozers.
Here's a medicine bottle showing itself.
Seeing the light of day for the first time in over 100 years.
I'm putting together a display to put in our chamber of commerce building downtown showcasing these relics from the old female college (1852-1945)
