Post-ceremony, I joined the 69th Color Guard in a hunt for Irish Brigade grave sites. Then we headed over to Bantry Bay, a local Irish bar for drinks with the commander of the modern 88th.
Great shots, Pat. Thanks for posting. I just love photos of events like this. They take me for a wee while into places where I've never been and in, all probability, never will be.
Micky.
I have researched the Irish Brigade for 34 years. Please contact me at [email protected] for attachments. I have casualty lists, burial lists, and other things. Burial lists for Calvary, and other cemeteries. Great photos, I would have loved to have been there, but I live in Northern Virginia, and don't travel. I just joined CivilWarTalk, and am trying to find Irish Brigade things.
