Like I said, the reason I like Gibbon is that it is an owner's manual, not an endless counting in ten times instruction book.
We agree on that. Just to clarify again, my only point is that none of the "manuals" - Gibbon, the "drill" manuals, Roberts - reflected tactical lessons being learned as the War progressed.
