Recommendations of where to stop on way over to Colonial Williamsburg

One of the great things about Colonial Williamsburg is they allow no traffic in the Historic area. One can walk and feel safe and free of the sound of cars. The only transportation is horse drawn carriages. Colonial Williamsburg is one of the best kept places we have been. You never see trash. The buildings are immaculate. They really keep up the place .

They had started to decorate for Christmas when we were there. If you have never seen their Wreaths and other Christmas Decorations, this alone is a reason to go. They do all the decorations in the style of the 18th Century. We again recommend Colonial Williamsburg as a must see location to experience the beginning of America.

We left Williamsburg on November 27 for our long drive home to Kentucky. It is over 750 miles so only stopped for gas and to eat. We stopped again at Tamarack in West Virginia to have late lunch at the Cafe and do some last minute shopping for Christmas. They were having their Christmas open house. The Center was all decorated for Christmas with Santa visiting. It was quite crowded. Local artisans were demonstrating their works and crafts. It was a nice conclusion to our trip.

We had a great trip and again are very thankful for all we got to see and visit.
