There's some audio on YouTube that has radio a broadcast from 1938 of the reunion at Gettysburg and there's a gentleman who was an actual participant of Pickett's Charge.

His name was "Gillette" I think.

He said he belonged to Davis's brigade.

I'm trying to track him down in the records.

I briefly checked the units of Davis' Brigade at Fold3 for a Gillette with no luck. Of course, I am getting older.
