Was Cinderella really stirring up pumpkin recipes with her wand instead of that legendary coach? We hope so!

We love all things pumpkin. Godey's Lady's Book published this autumn recipe in 1864;

Oh I bet that's wonderful! :smile:

Will have to try this. My pancakes always end up misshapen. They still taste good, but they always look vaguely mutant. :cry:

On a side note, I initially thought that pudding recipe was the pancake recipe. So, I thought these pancakes had wine in them, and it made me think they really knew how to start the day back then. :bounce:

We go to Bo jangles and get ham biscuits and coffee for about $6. No tip either.

Also if we go to Sids for bagesl and coffee only about $6.00 and no tip.

They both good reasonable breakfasts.

I found this recipe for pumpkin pudding from "The Virginia Housewife" (1860)

Donna. I find your recipe for pumpkin pancakes very interesting and delicious. I never saw a pancake recipe amalgamating wheat flour and unbleached flour together. I am also surprised that a touch of nutmeg was not included as one of the ingredients. Pumpkin pancakes are absolutely delicious on a fall or winter morning for breakfast. David.

A wonderful pumpkin pancake recipe. Thought bring up for those who hadn't seen it.

Just love all things pumpkin.

Our Dunkin Donut Shop had pumpkin donuts and pumpkin muffins now. They are so tasty.
