Restricted Poet and US Army nurse Walt Whitman statue removed in Camden

It sounds like the statue is being relocated on the campus, which I guess is better than being carted off to a warehouse (if the story's accurate):

The statue of Whitman, featured prominently in the front courtyard of Camden’s Campus Center, will be “relocated to a historically relevant site on campus and contextualized,” interim Chancellor Margaret Marsh recently announced in an email to students and employees.

If that’s the case, I don’t see a problem with it. A relocation with some academic context shouldn’t bother anyone.

Tough month for American history icons and their monuments

Teddy Roosevelt, Sacagawea and George Rogers Clark all down
Well if one can't recognize all individuals have flaws, and wishes flaws to preclude any greatness, eventually their will be none, north or south of any era.

Seems absurd to me personally, but if thats the standard or logic to be adopted, that will be the result when it's applied impartially.
