I'll defer to the experts, but the object on the right may be a pistol bullet.I found these in my backyard just the other day.

LOL! No.Ever see ghosts at night, WDE?
What E_just_E is hinting at, I think, is that older chain is datable by the way the links were welded. Forge-welded links have a diagonal seam line, while more modern links have a circular seam that runs perpendicular to the wire. Scroll down to fig 6-8 and 9 here to see drawings http://www.realorrepro.com/article/New-handcuffs-leg-irons-slave-shackles(need to clean and look at the connections of the chain to figure out the era better...)

This made me laugh. All I could think of was the double dog dare in the movie "Christmas Story", but I know why you said it, because of the lead, right? You have a minie ball on the left. The right one is a bit strange as it seems to have a very small hollowed out area at the bottom. It must be some sort of bullet I'm not sure what it is. Don't touch them with your bare hands, and don't lick your fingers if you do.
You're kidding, right? Now you tell me!!! Ive been chewin on em for like 2 days.
Not to mention lead.Of course im kidding. You know how much dirt and germs are on those!?!
i looked at that chain closer and i can't see any weld marks anywhere. What E_just_E is hinting at, I think, is that older chain is datable by the way the links were welded.
