Apparently Don Ernsberger has written a 2-volume work on the 69th - "Paddy Owen's Regulars: A History of the 69th Pennsylvania "Irish Volunteers." Has anyone read this?
 
The same author wrote a book on the 69th Pa. at Gettysburg that I did read. It was quite good. Here is the link:

While focus is Gettysburg, the book covers the organization and recruitment of the regiment and its early service as well. I highly enjoyed it. Very readable.
I read that one as well and enjoyed it. I imagine the 2 volume book is an expansion on his work about Gettysburg.
