Old Bardstown Bourbon Pudding

Old Bardstown Bourbon Pudding is family recipe from the Willet family that make Old Bardstown Bourbon.
1 pint heavy whipping cream
3 eggs, separated
8 tablespoons sugar
4 tablespoons Old Bardstown
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon nutmeg

Beat cream until stiff, set aside. Separate eggs and beat yolks until foamy. Add 4 tablespoons sugar, Old Bardstown, vanilla, and nutmeg to beaten yolks. Beat egg whites stiff, forming peaks. Add 4 tablespoons sugar. lightly blend the egg yolk mixture and whipped cream into beaten egg whites. Pour into a large mold, or individual souffle cups and place in refrigerator or freeze slightly until time to serve.

I haven't had this pudding in Bardstown, but there is plenty of other great food to be had in this town and an outstanding Civil War museum to boot.

Sounds good. My late mother-in-law made a version of this. She loved to cook with bourbon.
