The joy of fabric...I saw all sorts of fabric for ball gowns last weekend...dotted swiss..sheer viole, omg polyester satin..honestly, I saw more cotton than anything else. I did see one or two silks..one on the snooty suttler...I really want to make a stand alone ball gown. And fit..was everything really that skin tight?? Jeeez Louise..how did those gals breathe?? I can see that the current ball gown bodice could be reversed back to front..and I could keep the hooks and eyes, but it will have to come in considerably. I am planning on adding bows as well, saw alot of that..

Anyway! I am looking for wholesale fabric, preferable silk..there is a dress I saw in a museum website..cobalt blue chinese embroidered fabric..(lust)...I want to do something like that. Any suggestions as to reputable dealers??
