November 2013 Photo Contest now Open to entries!

this was taken, in Virginia City, Nevada where we have a battle ground that involves the use of the Virginia and Truckee Rail Road. as part of the battle, the passengers board the train in Virginia City along with a pre-loaded flatbed car that has some cannons mounted, along with several solders. to which point the train travels to gold-hill (small city just below Virginia City) were it stops, the solders off load and commence to have a skirmish. this is one of the shots I captured from the battle field, looking at the train. again this is a Stock Photo.. the majority of my photo's are stock. for the most part I go by the rule that if I couldn't have done it in the dark room, then I shouldn't do it digitally.

This will be the last contest of 2013! We will resume in March after the Annual Contest

If you love to take photos at Civil War battlefields or Reenactments, you can now post your best shots in our Monthly Contest!


Be sure to read the rules, some rules have been changed and we have added new rules.
We've seen some excellent photo shop work on some of these photos. But now we want to go BARENAKED!

Show us your best photo, completely naked. No filters, no special lenses, NO PHOTO SHOPPING! No tweaking, no saturating, no nothing. We want to see what you are made of as a photographer.

Show us the raw beauty of what you capture.

If I think your photo has been shopped, I reserve the right to not put it up for voting.


Rules:
1) Each Member may submit one (1) photo per monthly contest.
2) The person submitting the photo must be the photographer.
3) Photo must not be more than 60 days old. *exceptions may be made please contact @ami if you need an exception.
4) Photo may be from a Reenactment, Battlefield, or any other Civil War subject matter.
5) Once a photo is submitted to a Monthly Contest, it cannot be entered into any future Monthly Contest.
6) All submissions must be entered before November 15th, 2013.
7) Only the 20 photos with the most likes will be entered in the voting thread. Likes must be given by November 20th 2013. If there are not more than 20 entries, all will be entered for voting.
8) Winner will be chosen by membership vote. Voting will begin November 22nd, 2012 and end November 30, 2013.
9) NEW RULE - TO TAKE AFFECT FOR THE NOVEMBER CONTEST:
If your photo won the previous months contest, you are still eligible to enter, however, your photo will not be eligible to win. If your photo has the most votes and you won the previous month contest the next photo with the most votes will be counted as the winner.

1) Reply to this thread, and include your attached photo by using the "Upload a File" button, remember to include a name or title for your photo!
