Good find.
James H. Wilson began his career as an Engineer on General Grant's staff and followed his coat tails up through promotion. He left his mark in West Tennessee by creating some maps of the towns along the Memphis & Charleston RR; Collierville, Lafayette Station(now Rossville) and Moscow. These maps were dated in 1862 and have some good information for the study of the battles. It also details some buildings in the area and some homes are identified. The interesting thing is that it details the Memphis & Charleston RR and includes small Flags where the mile markers were located. These mile markers in the town of Collierville are still in the same location as they were in 1850's.

Map of Moscow -- Annotated to show:
M&CRR Mile Markers (RED triangles)
400-foot RR trestle bridge (RED)
Wolf River (LT BLUE)
Highway Bridge (PURPLE)
Fort (YELLOW)--approximate location
East Fort (YELLOW Arrow) -- just off right side of map.

This map has good topography details. Note the owner's names next to homes. Some of the names were spelling incorrectly as the Union soldiers couldn't understand the dialect of the Southerners and ex-slaves.
In the 4 December Battle, the Confederates sent one brigade to capture the RR trestle bridge and one to capture the highway bridge.
