Leopard or Jaguar? Back then there were still Jaguars in TEXAS. Still sighted occasionally in South TEXAS I hear.

If I was a Union soldier and a horde of Rebs were marching right at me with this guy in front ,he would have been the first one I would have shot at. What a great target !

BTW.....leopards have spots, and jaguars have "rosettes," which is how you can identify these items as jaguar. Just another bit of useless trivia I have stored in my mind to take the place of useful information.

I'm laughing my guts out now, I know I shouldn't laugh at the mans fashion statement , but if I had a friend wearing that even now I would slap"em in the head.

OK, that's it. I want to be a reenactor. But only if I can wear the pants, the holsters and the vest. Maybe a matching hat...

Never mess with a man wearing leopard skin pants...

Especially at night, outside a bar, in a dark alley, etc.

I wonder if those pants survived the war, or got replaced later on by the familiar gray and butternut?

Too bad Custer never got to see that one. He would have had one on order the next day.
