Greetings!

I have recently acquired this sword and would like your help identifying it. Based on my research I believe it's a M1860 staff and field sword. One thing that throws me off is the frog stud instead of the rings on the scabbard. Any input would be great! This is my first acquisition and ever since, I have been fascinated with civil war relics and stories.

Thank you!
