Today, May 6th is National Crepes Suzette Day. It is a French Dessert consisting of a crepe with a sauce of caramelized sugar, butter, orange zest, and Grand Marnier or Orange Curacao Liqueur, served flambé.
It is recorded that it was created by the 14 year old Henri Carpentier in 1895 at the Maître at Monte Carlo's café in Paris. He was preparing a dessert for the Prince of Wales.
