Morrill had such a huge influence - one that lasts to today, yet few people know about him. All of the colleges established through the Land-Grant acts he pushed through Congress have educated a tremendous number of students. Every state in the US has at least one land-grant college. The act also required certain types of education, which helped the US grow expertise in those fields. Morrill had a tremendous impact on this country.
