Education:
Attended Oxford Female Institute in Ohio
Expelled from Oxford Female Institute for shooting all of the stars out of the Union Flag, and scratching a pro-Jefferson Davis message on a local store window with a ring.
Civil War Events:
Sent to live with older sister "Lottie" Moon Clark in Ohio, at a home that was frequented by Confederate couriers.
1862 - Moved to Memphis, Tennessee with her mother
Spy for the Confederate Army Famous during the last part of the war
Smuggled much-needed quinine and morphine into the Confederacy, often while in disguise.
Arrested for spying when the Union forces occupied Memphis, but escaped with the help of her sister.
Ginnie, her sister Lottie, and their mom were put under house arrest by Lottie's ex-boyfriend, Union General Ambrose Burnside, but no charges were filed. This put an end to the smuggling and spying.
