Sister of Charlotte "Lottie" Moon. She was an "Espionage Agent" in Memphis who worked with Gen. Forrest.

In Memphis during the 1870s she helped with the yellow fever epidemic.

Moon , her sister Lottie, and her mother were placed under house arrest for several months by Lottie's jilted fiance Gen. Ambrose Burnside.

Disguises were frequently used when carrying documents and dispatches for the Confederate Army. According to legend she rode in a carriage with Abraham Lincoln when in Washington where she was disguised as an Englishwoman.
