I spent a long weekend in NYC this past Labor Day. Being a native New Yorker I was a bit ashamed that I had no idea that two of my beloved generals are showcased in the city. I must have passed General William Tecumsah Sherman a million times but there he is on Fifth Avenue in all his glory. Just beautiful.

And I was able to secure a tour to General Grant's resting place in Riverside just outside of Manhattan. His wife, Julia lies next to him.

Both sights were incredible.
