Nice photos! Can I use some of them for CivilWarWiki? I'll give you full credit for the photos of course!

Great photos. This one we have to see.

Donna,

We were able to visit the tour stops for First Manassas (Bull Run).

Due to heavy traffic, we were not able to visit the tour stops to Second Manassas (Bull Run).

Bill

Was there just last summer for my first visit to Manassas. It looked very well preserved. We had other things on the plate for that day, so we didn't get a chance to spend as much time there as I would have liked. It warrants a return trip for sure!

Today is the 153rd anniversary of the First Battle of Bull Run (Manassas Junction), Virginia.

Awesome NPS battlefield (besides heavy traffic)!

Another outstanding job and I feel rather guilty asking this question; but what are the two rather large PVC pipes coming out of the outbuilding next to the Henry House? Is it a pump station of some type?

First Battle of Bull Run (Manassas Junction), Virginia is a battle site I have always wanted to see, but have yet to do so. That is why I appreciate the photos you posted. The bad thing is, now I want to visit even more.

Unlike other battlefield parks, we found Manassas extremely difficult to find! We followed the signs, and then they disappeared and we drove forever. We finally turned around and stopped to ASK (we won't go THERE!!!!) and the guy, who worked for the town!!!, didn't know how to tell how to get there. We finally went back to the town and went to the tourist bureau, which gave us a map. By the time we got there, it was late in the day, so we had to go back. The guy in the visitors centre did admit the road signage was not as good as it might have been. Well worth the effort, though!

It is likely a cook-house.

The Second Battle of Bull Run (Manassas Junction), Virginia occurred between August 28 - 30, 1862.
