My trip to Princeton got cancelled and we have decided to do a Louisiana/Alabama trip. On the first night the plan is to stay in Montgomery and then head down to New Orleans after that. Are the battle sites around New Orleans are people still able to visit these sites? What sites is highly recommended to visit in New Orleans Area? What areas are recommended in Montgomery Alabama area?

What areas are recommended in Montgomery Alabama area?
First White House Of The Confederacy and Old Oakwood Cemetery. Went to both in June 2018.

In New Orleans, you have the Confederate Memorial Hall and while it isn't Civil War related; just around the corner is the D Day Museum.

On you way to New Orleans stop at Beauvoir and the Jefferson Davis Presidential Library in Biloxi, Mississippi. Worth the effort. In New Orleans the National World War II Museum is amazing, but you need 2 full days just to do it justice. Right across the street from that museum is the Confederate Memorial Hall Museum. They have over 5,000 artifacts, with an informative and friendly staff. We were just there last week.
