I have done some cursory reading on these campaigns, however I never read a full book on them.
I have read Jeffry Wert's book on Sheridan's Campaign (From Winchester to Cedar Creek) but this only deals with the latter battles of the campaigns.
If there are any good books covering all the campaigns, or can name a book for each of the time periods, I'd love to know.

There's this on Second Winchester...

Thank you for the recommendations, adding it to my list.
But was refering to more the 1864 campaigns, like New Market, Piedmont, Monocacy, Cedar Creek...

There is no good stand alone study of Cedar Creek. Scott Patchan is working on it.

Anything else?

Thank you. I think the book on the summer campaign would do me well.
This may be off topic, but, know any books on the Bermuda Hundred Campaign, or the Plymouth Campaign? Am studying a lot on the 1864 campaigns for a project, and with the holidays coming up, gonna make some requests for some books.

You're very welcome. Shenandoah Summer is an excellent book.

Here's one about Plymouth. I do not own it and have not read it, but I am aware of its existence. I have no opinion as to whether it's good, bad, or indifferent. All of the others that I have suggested to you are in my personal library and I can vouch for them.

Thank you. I'll definitely grab the Bermuda Hundred one certainly.
Btw, won't make or break it for me, but, do any of these books give Order of Battle tables? A lot of books I have on these battles lack them, and the OoB of Bermuda Hundred is one that has escaped me for the longest time.

I believe that most of them do.

Every single one of mine does. I understand the importance of them.

Thank you. I've added a bunch of them to my list.
Only one Im (probably) gonna pass on is the Plymouth book. I only see 2 reviews for it (detailed ones though). I may reconsider though

You can't go wrong with my good friend Scott Patchan's work. Scott is an extremely thorough and meticulous researcher, and he does first-rate work. I have no hesitation in recommending his work to anyone.

Eric what is your opinion of Theodore Mahr's 1992 Cedar Creek book from the H E Howard series?
I'm very happy to hear that Scott is working on a book on Cedar Creek! Any idea when it will be published?

Emerging civil war has a Bermuda hundred campaign book coming out in April. Robertsons is the only one I am aware of for now. I believe his has a OOB but will double check tomorrow

This is something I am working on. See here.

Linda,

The problem with Ted's book is that it's been out of print for 20+ years and is hard to find. As for content, meh. By Ted's own admission, it was a blown-up version of his master's thesis and is one-sided. It lacks objectivity.

On Friday, Scott told me that he will begin writing shortly after the turn of the year when he finishes two other pending projects.

Anyone working on a single volume (or series by a single author) covering everything from New Market to Waynesboro (including Monocacy)?

All the books thusfar seem to be focused on one battle or one of the short sub-campaigns. I'm not suggesting they're bad. But I would really love a holistic approach because each part seems to be a direct response to the success or failure of the previous part. The commanders kept changing and the events are spread over six months so instead different people write about different parts.

Would probably have to be a multi volume? You're talking 6 months of battles.

Herbert Schiller also did a book on Bermuda Hundred for Morningside c. 1990. I'd rate it about the same as Robertson's, which is good. The differ in that Schiller has more tactical detail while Robertson has better maps. They also disagree somewhat on the "corked in a bottle" analysis. You can only get Schiller's on the OOP market, however - probably at too much $$$ for the condition. So I'd go with Robertson.

Old but reliable - this was my first on the entire campaign and despite a few much more recent titles, I still think you'd have trouble explaining it any better than Gen. Stackpole or his redoubtable cartographer, Col. Nye do:
