I have an interest in the Army of Tennessee, mostly due to growing up in North Georgia near all the battlefields of the 1864, as well as due to being enamored with Patrick Cleburne. However, one of the figures I've come across who I find intriguing, yet overlooked, is A. P. Stewart. Like Cleburne, he seems to be one of the few exceptionally talented commanders in the AoT. However, I've come across only one book regarding him, Soldier of Tennessee by Sam Davis Elliott. Would anyone recommend this biography? And are there other biography's on him, or books regarding the AoT that gives good detail on him and his actions?
