Hello,

Just curious if there is any information on which gauntlet color was the most common (yellow or white) primarily and especially for the late-war era, if I may ask please?

Thank you for any and all information.

I have only seen buff colored gauntlets and since they were made from varying leathers there might be different shades of buff. I have a couple of pair and they are different shades. White gloves were generally cotton dress.

Thank you for the responses. I realize too, that the yellow / buff shade may also indicate cavalry. But, apparently, even infantry used this color as well...
