Don't watch any videos put out by the Civil War Reenactor Guide. Firstly, he is not a reenactor. For several months, he put several videos out giving tips and advice, with blatantly incorrect information. Then several months later, he put a video up about attending his first event. It's best not to waste your time with him as many of the information he gives is simply stuff he made up or rationalized into being correct. CWDD is a much, much better choice for tips and techniques.
To the OP, I'm not understanding what you are asking, perhaps restate the question. Are you asking if one can wear a bedroll and knapsack at the same time? It's doable, but cumbersome. I would not recommend it at an event that would feature any type of prolonged movement.
