The cannon illustrated, on display at Fort Monroe, is one of the 10” Columbiands banded and rifled by Easons at the direction of General Beauregard. It was mounted at Battery Bee on Sullivan’s Island. Before it’s conversion, the trunnions of this gun had been damaged and Easons improvised the unique solution seen in the photographs.
