Since I posted the topic of coin buttons I wanted to share these neat little buttons known as "Jacksonian Buttons".
Jacksonians are so named after President Andrew Jackson's era - 1820-1830.
This was the age of great national unity and is also known as the age of "Good Feelings".
There are over 140 varieties of Jacksonian buttons that feature different designs on the facing.
They are small, one rimmed buttons and were intended to be worn on a man's vest.
These 3 I dug were all found together and more than likely came off the same vest since the design is the same - a masted sailing ship.

Nice Ones, do they have back-marks?
