I found these items today at the Irish Bend and Fort Bisland battlefields in south Louisiana (with landowner permission as always). I'm unsure what the two crescent-shaped things are at lower left. At upper right is a shell fragment; at lower right is a musket ball; and I'm unsure what is at upper left . . . I am wondering if it is not an iron case shot ball. But the odd thing is, it measures .905 caliber. Does anyone know if this is indeed a large case shot ball (or a small grape shot ball)? (It was hard to measure because as you can see it's no longer precisely spherical.)

Depending on the gun, canister shot ranged from .69 to 2.26 inches in diameter.
