I have found some goodies this past year and thought I’d share them! I THROUGHLY enjoy the conversations and rabbit holes that relics start! So here we go puppy paw US buckle it is overfilled lead, with a beautiful rounded edge. I’m thinking it the real deal but what does everyone think?

When I scrolled down to see the photo I almost chocked om my beer. Way Way wrong. The puppy paw was basicly 2 hollow brass studs that were back filled with lead. The one above is a joke.
Want want want...... lol oh well great tid bits to look for next time! I felt comfortable with the price, basically less then a lunch at McDonald’s Thxs all!

Keep in mind a couple of things when looking at lead filled buckles:
1. The lead fill was almost concave and not overfilled in the brass “shell”.
2. Prongs and hooks were usually substantial and not thin brass as in repops.
