Do any of you have the address, phone # or website for Bob Hoyt. His named was brought up on another thread . I have a 1863 Colt contract rifle made in 1864. it's in great shape with the exception of the barrel. It fell victim to the shotgun makers after the war and the barrel has been reamed out to smooth bore. I know he charges around $300.00 but it would be worth it to be able to shoot her. Also If any of you have used him what is the turn around time from the time he gets it till I get it back. And do I send him the Barrel or do I have to send the whole gun? Thanks for any info . Just to add a bit of info about Bobby. He does a great job on barrels. All you internet jockeys have to realize there are those who don't do internet, email or anything on the web. They work the old fashioned way, by face to face, phone or snail mail. Bobby is one of those. Looking for "his website" is an exercise in futility cuz there ain't one.

Nice looking Colt Special Model. The last info I had for Bobby Hoyt barrels was phone #717-642-6696. Shipping address 2379 Mt Hope Rd, Farfield PA. In the past, turn around time was six to eight weeks and cost varies by what he has do. My information may be out of date, but when I last had dealings with him he said just ship the barrel.

I'm assuming he would only want the barrel. It certainly would be easier and probably less costly to ship.

That is a nice looking rifle musket there. Although I have never done any business with Mr. Hoyt, I have only heard great things about him and his work.

Sent him my Potsdam barrel last month. At the time he said he would put it in the que for a liner. Stated it would be the beginning of the year before he could get to it. He was backed up. he was going to weld 2 holes drilled into the original barrel then sleeve it. Said about $275.oo He has done work for me in the past. He sleeved a 1855 barrel for me and cut the riffling to my desire and attached the sights and bayonet lug.
