Images to be examined or colorized

Here's a good picture of Gen. Alpheus S. Williams for colorizing and examining.

I'm sorry if I'm being a bother to anyone but there's just so many photos I'd like to see in color.

That is a great image. I know that neither Zuzah nor I have been posting much lately (especially from requests), but we both are busy with private commissions and other paid work. Hopefully someone here can find time to do a few of these.

I just came up with a great idea, has anyone ever considered colorizing a picture of Old Abe the Eagle?

Hi all,
I thought we would start a thread where people can post the images that they would like to see colorized or zoomed in and examined...

I would like to see the"Home of the Sharpshooter" zoomed and colorized if it hasn't already been done. (I didn't see it.)

Artist James Groves has a webpage on those photos and has identified a number of objects (broken rifle scope, leather scope case, pipe etc.) with the body. He believes the rebel soldier was moved downhill after the photographs were taken at the rock wall contrary to Frassanito's opinion.

That "Home of the Sharpshooter" image was indeed in the show though shown very quickly, I believe, in the third episode (first hour of the second night) as was this

The image I posted was pulled (It was my own copyright, since it was NOT the image the was used in the show) so I've edited the rest of my post.

My first try at colorizing a photo. Didn't think it would be that hard but it is and very time consuming and whoever does these and does them well they dedicate alot of time to do it and do it right. I just wanted to to see if I could do it. This still isn't done but I spent about 3 and half hours just to come up with this. View attachment 14152View attachment 14153
I love this photo. It captures the spirit of defiance in these men. I also love the way it shatters all the re-enactor dress regulations.

This is a terrific photo and it has been suggested several times. Unfortunately it is not a good candidate. Due to the dark mass of soldiers there is little to add color too and the result would be less than ideal.
