Dug a nice Prussian bullet today.
.69 cal
Not the largest civil war bullet but close. I laid it next to the .54 cal Williams cleaner for size
comparisons for those that are interested.
The reference books call them Prussian but don't think anyone has linked them to foreign manufactures.
Still a fairly rare find as I've only dug 3 total ever.

Collectors will probably always call these bullets and their variants Prussian, but according to bullet expert Dean S. Thomas these were manufactured in the U. S. They were probably not intended for any specific rifled musket, but would have been used in any .69 rifled musket.
