If my math is correct, Sunday, January 19, 2014 will be Robert E. Lee's 207th Birthday. How should we celebrate this date a CivilWarTalk?

I'd like to invite @Barrycdog our host in this forum, and all members to think about this man, and what we should know about him, and what's most notable about him as a person.

I'd like to come up with a list of discussion ideas, different topics about Robert E. Lee that we can discuss on the 19th.

I'n the mean time, I'll ask my graphics department (wait, we have a whole department???) if we can decorate the site with some appropriate artwork or photos....

Please post your ideas below!

Don't forget that only 2 days later is Stonewall Jackson's birthday, January 21, 1824, making this the 190th anniversary. That's why in Virginia the holiday has been known as Confederate/Southern Heroes Day, and a holiday long before Martin Luther King!

A saber duel between James and BarryCdog. They can see who has more in his collection.

I love it, but you're liable to hear some howls of protest. Just sayin'. Not that I give an owl hoot.
OK - probably some of these French military epees and short sabers on the wall behind my computer here would do! But unfortunately I'll be out of town and away from my computer this weekend in Arizona on vacation, so someone else will have to "take up the gauntlet" in my stead!

I like all the ideas expressed here INCLUDING expanding to honor Stonewall just 2 days later. I've often wondered; how do you all celebrate the birthday(s) of these great men in your own lives?
My birthday is on September 19th; I usually have cake. Thank you for asking. :D
