I'm with @jgoodguy on this. I say conditionally because while I find my head nodding yes, suddenly it starts to shake into no.
I'm confused about his crime statistics. He never clears it up if it is black-on-black crime, white-on-black, or black-on-white, or white-on-white. For example, he uses the charts that have "Northeast" in it. What's that? New England? New England with a mix of Mid-Atlantic? If it is black-on-black crime, I'm sure we have lower because we've always had a lower black population.
I'll give him hospitality though - no one ever claimed that the early Pilgrims and then Puritans had great down home revels!
